Crime Branch Jammu unearthed fake appointments in PowerDevelopment Department (PDD).Two Engineers (1) Pallav Gupta S/O Romesh GuptaR/O Village Bakore A/P RajpuraMangotrain, Jammu and (2) Sagar Kumar S/O RajKumar R/O Chak JaralanTehsil Bishnah District Jammu managed their fakeappointment orders in PDD as Junior Engineer against sports quota. Interestinglyboth of them have never played even school games but managed their appointmentsagainst sports quota of players  who arechampions at National/International level competitions.

CrimeBranch Jammu has registered FIR against the fraudsters PallavGupta and Sagar Kumar for cheating and fraud in false and fake appointmentsorders. Both Engineers manage their appointment orders vide Govt. order no.611-GAD of 2017dated 18.05.2017 and 708-GAD of 2018 dated 26-04-2018respectively. Both the JEs have been dismissed by Chief Engineer, J&K PowerTransmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL).

General Administration Department of J&K Govt.recommended the case along with their enquiry report to Crime Branch to lodgeFIR against appointment orders of Junior Engineers (JEs)  in which thefraud was discovered. During thecourse of investigation by Crime Branch, it was established that these Govt.Order numbers actually pertains to compassionate appointments under SRO-43 of1994 dated 22.02.1994 in favour of members of the J&K State Advisory Board.It was also established that the accused persons namely Pallav Gupta and SagarKumar have managed false and fake appointment orders and cheated theauthorities in using them as genuine one. Thus commission of offences under section 420,465,468,471 IPC againstsaid accused persons were substantiated.

In this connection,a formal case FIR has been registered inCrime Branch Jammu and investigation initiated.
